We had Sonia Matthews and John Dobson from Chatton Fisheries Northumberland visit us this week, and although the weather was blowing a gale and they could only fish our more sheltered Swallow Lake there was smiles all around. Sonia managed to land 9 decent trout including a lovely 6lb 2oz brownie and John landed 10 trout. They used a selection of Mazda Buzzers and Tinny’s to good success.  Our resident angler Dave Parks was again in double figures with outings bagging two sets of 12 and a session of  17 trout. Dave used single strand bloodworm and hares ear. Most of his fish came from the middle of the lake. Small Buzzer’s are taking most fish as well as bloodworm and small nymphs as expected for this time of year.
