Good weather is bringing out new anglers to the banks, especially families who come out to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and great facilities around Aldrin Grange complex – especially Mums who are enjoying the cream cakes in the Cafe. All lakes are fishing really well with warm water bringing out the carp. Lots of Ghosties providing great sport as they tear off with screaming reels and large bends in poles. The match lake is really on fire with lots of Carp in the margins as our Junior Club found out this weekend, with lots of our kids tying into carp – especially ghosties, large bream and some cracking chub. All the kids had big smiles on there faces and could show some of our senior anglers how to do it. Blackbird has its large carp falling to mussel and meat but can we illiterate that floating bread is not allowed at all on the complex. The silver lake (Kingfisher) is undergoing its annual maintenance and all pegs on the far bank are clear and very fishable with big bags of Crucians and Ide falling to single maggot. The other side of lake will have its maintenance in the next couple of weeks with as little disturbance as we can. Get out on the bank and enjoy the summer weather and great fishing as soon as you can.
