Last week saw all the course lakes fishing their socks off. A bit of fresh water and constant temperatures had the the carp heavily feeding. The junior club  had a great day on Kingfisher with plenty of fish been caught and a few monsters getting away. Pictured here is Austin with his grandad on his first visit to the junior club and the look on his face I think he is hooked.

The rest of the juniors had a great time with most of them catching on the far shelf as fish sheltered out of the bright sun. Cast a maggot over to them and a small pouch of loose maggots has them  going crazy.

Woodpecker is now fully up and running after it’s total refurb, seeing large bags of Crucian Carp being landed. When the temperature cools down there will be a restocking of silvers and maybe some Ide could be on the cards.

Blackbird fished really well at the weekend and a lot of the resident carp and the bigger Ghost carp came to the net. Andrew Rutherford had a day on the paste on blackbird on Monday and the fish just kept on coming. He ended up with what we estimated close to 80lb of carp in all sizes with the biggest at 10lb. He is pictured below with only a couple of his catches  and also shows off a silver bream which are starting to get to a fairly decent size now. If you like fishing the paste just see Brian as he now stocks plenty.
