Mild winter up to now has allowed us to carry on with our fishing, as Wayne Harrison has shown today with 40lb from peg 10 on Blackbird. He also lost a large double figure carp at the net after battling it for 15 mins on 2.5lb hook length. Plenty of others also catching carp, but silvers are readily coming to the hook and will provide plenty of sports during the winter months.

Remember to go fine with hook lengths of around 2.5lb with size 20 hook and single maggots and you should be catching all day.
